ABOUT
I started out selling services. Then I worked out why that was the wrong way round.
I'm Vishnu Prasad. I run NovusConfido, and it's just me. This page is how I got here, what I can do, and what I haven't done yet.
WHERE THIS STARTED
I spent a year offering websites and search.
I taught myself to build websites, then taught myself search, and started offering both. Websites, search, later on paid advertising. The same list most small agencies have.
Then the tools changed.
Anyone can get most of a website out of an AI in an evening now. Not a finished one — I've built three that way, and I know exactly which parts they never got right. But close enough that paying somebody to type it out stopped making obvious sense. Search changed at the same time. People started getting their answer straight from an AI instead of clicking through to anybody's website.
For a while I thought the work I'd spent a year learning was going out of date.
Then a more useful question turned up. If building the website is the easy part, what was the part worth paying for?
The building was never the valuable part. Deciding what to build was. Whether this business needs a website at all, or needs something else fixed first — that's the question that decides whether the money does anything. Almost nobody sells the answer to it, because it's hard to put on a price list.
That's the thing I decided to do instead.
WHAT I GOT WRONG
I did the exact thing I now tell founders to watch out for.
Before this, I did what I'd watched everyone else do. I picked one type of business to focus on, built a website for it, and wrote out a list of services underneath. Websites, search, advertising.
Then I started calling and messaging those businesses.
It went nowhere.
For a while I blamed the calling. It wasn't the calling. It was the order I'd done things in. I had decided what to sell before I understood anything about the people I was selling it to. I couldn't tell any of them what was actually wrong in their business, because I had never looked. All I had was a list of things I could do — which is the same list three other people had sent them that week.
That's what this whole site argues against now. Not because I read it somewhere. Because I did it, and I know exactly what it produces, which is nothing.
So I stopped working that way. I don't say anything about what a business needs until I've looked at it properly — the same five things, every time, in the same order, until it's clear which one is really in the way. You can read how I go through those five things, with real businesses I've looked at.
It also settled who I want to work with. Founder-led businesses, where the person who started it is still the person deciding. Not because that's a smaller market to aim at. Because that's the person who wants a straight answer, and who can act on one the same week they get it.
WHAT I CAN DO
What I can do, and what I haven't done.
- Websites. I build them and I fix them. I built this one.
- Tracking. I set up analytics so you can tell where a customer came from and what they did next. Most businesses have this installed already and nobody has ever opened it.
- Search. I've studied it properly and done it on my own sites. Not for a paying client.
- Paid advertising. I know how it works. I haven't run a live campaign yet, with anyone's money, and I'm not going to pretend otherwise. If advertising turns out to be the right answer for your business, I'll say so, and I'll tell you plainly where my own experience stops.
- Looking at a business and working out what's holding it back. This is the part I'm best at, and it's the reason the business exists in this shape rather than the last one.
That's reflected in what I charge. I price like someone building a reputation, not someone who already has one.
NEXT STEP
The quickest way to judge me is to talk to me.
Forty-five minutes will tell you more than any page I could write. I ask how the business runs, what you've already tried, and where things feel stuck. You'll come away seeing your own situation more clearly whether or not we end up working together.
I reply within one working day.
